Online Assignment for Wednesday Group

Those who attended InTACT's Wednesday session, you have to answer these reflection questions from this week's module to synthesize our discussion on the importances of first experiences in college:
  1. By now, you would have already experienced a hell week in your college life. What can you say about your FIRST hell week experience as freshmen? What did you feel about it? What things did you need to compromise/give up to fulfill your responsibilities during that hell week?
  2. What, for you, is the importance of initiative (taking the first step; initiating action) in a group of people working together?

i'm first! haha okay wala lang :)

uhm.. actually, i've experienced hell week back in high school and i can say that it's somewhat the same so it's kind of normal for me to be pressured. i had to give up having plans on the weekend for the hell week.

the importance of taking initiative would be showing the people around me that i am open and willing to share something about me so that they won't feel hesitant or it would break the wall between us.

hell week is nothing new to me...just like sands, i somehow got used to it after hs...as always, i have to manage my time well and give up stuff that are not important [i had to limit my internet time and go home asap even if i still want to stay in school and bond with friends]...what is fun about my first hell week in college, however, is that i was able to hang out with my friends after =)

taking initiative is something important because nothing will happen if everyone in a group will just stare at each other...[making everyone a lot more awkward because of the unusual silence]...

Hell week? hmm....experiencing hell week is the same with having quarter exams during high school. i didn't give up anything since im used to cramming.

initiative....it shows that you are open and comfortable with the people around you.

like everyone has already said, hell week is nothing new because i already experienced that in high school. but now in college, the difference is that even though we have lots of breaks, it still takes A LOT more time to study for any test. So that means giving up extra time to go on gimicks or to hang out with friends.

the importance of taking initiative is to make everyone else more comfortable or more "game" for whatever situation.

hell weeks are the weeks where i usually panic!:)) i guess im used to it.i just hate staying up late, talk about time management!but i look forward to the end of each hell week:D

to get-up-and-go is important because if you don't do anything nothing will happen.so go! even if it's embarrassing at first at least you had the gutts to start first!:D

it's not that different from what i had in high school so im used to it already. i really studied hard and really focused on my studies.

taking the initiative makes it easier for the group to start and complete the task at hand. makes the group feel comfortable enough to start working and be efficient.

Hell week is nothing new to me. It was very similar to my 4 days of exam in high school. I gave up a lot of time for fun and relaxation.

Taking initiative is showing connection with the members of a group and encourages cooperation among them.

HELL WEEK = HASSLE sa MUSCLE, STRAIN sa BRAIN, STRESSSSS sa CHEST!! HAHA I had to give up my usually activities such as going to the gym and swimming. I also didn’t go to my friend’s party just to get some extra time. Basically, I had to devote all my free time to studying.

For me, taking the initiative is important because, if nobody takes the first step, nothing will be done. One must always be the guiding force that will push the group and help it gain momentum. Without it, the group will have a hard time starting and doing their task.

For me, first impressions are important because you somehow get a clue of what kind of character the person has. These impressions will always be there and remain unchanged until you spend time to get to know the person.

My first is impression of college life here in the Ateneo is STRESSSSSSSSSS. This is because people tell me that there are a lot of papers to be done. The courses taken up here mean business and there is no room for complacency.

For the past three months, my impression of college life in the Ateneo is chillax! HAHA This is because the assignments and lessons given are pretty much manageable, except for Bataller. But I also have a feeling na bigla kami bobombahin ng teacher ng mga assignments after a few more weeks.

ROLES:
My roles as a student are to be a holistic and responsible student, a student who has a passion for learning and excellence. HAHA

My roles as a son are to be respectful and loving to both my parents. As a son, I feel that I must also be very appreciative and thankful for the all the sacrifices and love they’ve given.

My roles as a brother are also to be respectful and loving to both my sisters, who are older than me. I must give them the respect they deserve no matter what.

My role as friend is simply being there with my friends, supporting and staying with them in both good and bad.

My role as a blockmate is to show BLOCK LOVE. HAHA

My roles as a member of an org are to support and exemplify there ideals and principles.

2.) My goals in life are to pass bataller’s class, be a social entrepreneur, have a sexy wife, continuously refining my character but never changing it and, most of all, being contented.

3.) I can make these goals possible by working hard and never giving up. I must also never forget to put God and my family at the center of my life.

Uhmmm...like hell week is actually familiar to me since in HS we were trained to cope up with pressure through the consecutive exams and deadlines of projects. i had to give up my social life for 3-5days so i can study and focus on the test.

its important to take initiative for it gives the other people a somekind of confidence for them to go next. its quite wierd at first but the fruit will be plentiful

Hell week: Something I've already experienced before. Hate it. Um, time organization and refraining from procrastination... sana. Hahaha.

Um. Initiative is what gets people going. Without it, nothing will happen.

1.College hell weeks are just like high school hell weeks where you do a lot of stuff and lose a lot of sleep.
2.Taking the initiative encourages others to participate.

Hell week, I'm sort of used to hell anything. Hell week, double hell week (2 weeks) and what I used to call international test day(when almost, if not, every subject has a long examination. I still have to balance my time and stop wasting it. Having more extra time in college gave me more time to put things off for later.

Initiative is important, without it, I won't get anything done, no one would.
